IN 2018, I HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO REVISIT THIS WONDERFUL SHOW WITH LEON DOBKOWSKI. TOGETHER WE REIMAGINED HEADPIECES FOR FLOUNDER, SEBASTIAN, AND THE CONTESTANTS. I ALSO HELPED REBUILD URSULA’S SKIRT AND TENTACLES AS WELL AS THE MERMAID BRAS.

THIS SHOW IS THE BIGGEST PRODUCTION I HAVE WORKED ON YET. I BUILT MOST OF THE ENCHANTED CHARACTERS FOR MUSIC THEATRE WICHITA'S PRODUCTION OF DISNEY'S BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. WE COLLABORATED WITH CHICAGO SHAKESPEARE THEATER FOR THE BODIES OF THE CLOCK AND THE WARDROBE. MANY DIFFERENT MATERIALS WERE USED IN CREATING THE PODS. SOME OF THEM INCLUDE, STEEL HOOPING, L200 FOAM, NU-FOAM, SPANDEX COVERINGS WITH UPHOLSTERY WELTING AND A LITTLE MAGIC. IT WAS THE OPPORTUNITY OF A LIFETIME.

FOR MY SON PINOCCHIO AT MUSIC THEATRE WICHITA, I BUILT ALL THE HATS AND BONNETS AS WELL AS ENGINEERED THE NOSE GROW FOR PINOCCHIO. EVERY SINGLE SKILL SET I HAVE WAS USED IN THE MANUFACTURING OF THIS SHOW. THERE WAS FELT BLOCKING, RESHAPING STRAW, BUILDING OF WIRE ARMATURES, MASK MAKING, AND FLAT PATTERNING.

IN 2015, I HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO DO SOME DYE WORK FOR THE SHOW AIDA AT MUSIC THEATRE WICHITA. THERE WAS ALSO CALL FOR SOME EXTRA FASHION SHOW PIECES THAT I BUILT. I USED RIGILENE BONING AND WEBBING TO CREATE CAGES AND DECONSTRUCTED BOWS AND STEEL LAMP SHADES TO PAY AN HOMAGE TO ALEXANDER McQUEEN.

IN 2014 AT MUSIC THEATRE WICHITA, I DESIGNED THE HATS FOR 42ND STREET. THE DAMES HATS AND THE BALLET HATS WERE MY MAIN FOCUS WITH LITTLE ACCESSORY BITS THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE SHOW. I BUILT DOROTHY BROCK'S HATS AS WELL AS ALL 21 ENSEMBLE WOMEN'S HATS.
AT MUSIC THEATRE WICHITA IN 2014, I WAS THE HEAD CRAFTS ARTISAN FOR CATCH ME IF YOU CAN. I PATTERED AND BUILT THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT PILLBOX HATS AS WELL AS ALL THE NURSES' HATS FOR THE PRODUCTION. I BUILT AND PAINTED STATUES WITH THE HELP OF AN ASSISTANT AS WELL AS ALL THE HATS FOR THE PRINCIPLES AND ENSEMBLE MEMBERS FOR BIG SHOW NUMBERS. IN 2012, I WORKED AS CRAFTS ARTISAN AT MUSIC THEATRE WICHITA. MY MAIN PROJECT FOR LEGALLY BLONDE WAS TO CREATE THE SPECIALTY LOOKS FOR THE DELTA NU GREEK CHORUS WHILE THEY SANG ABOUT THE HOLIDAYS. I ALSO BUILT A LOT OF ELLE'S ACCESSORIES FOR THE PLAYBOY BUNNY LOOK. THERE WAS ALSO A LOT OF RHINESTONING AND ADDING SEQUINS TO THINGS. PROFESSIONAL PHOTOS TAKEN BY CHRISTOPHER CLARK. THIS SHOW WAS MY FIRST ROLE AS HEAD MILLINER ON A SHOW. I BUILT HATS AND HEADPIECES FOR LINA LAMONT IN SINGING IN THE RAIN AT MUSIC THEATRE WICHITA. IN 2011, I WAS AN INTERN AT MUSIC THEATRE WICHITA IN THIER CRAFTS DEPARTMENT. MY RESPONSIBILITY DURING THE BUILD PROCESS OF DISNEY'S LITTLE MERMAID WAS TO BUILD HATS AND OTHER ACCESSORIES FOR MEMBERS IN THE ENSEMBLE, AS WELL AS SOME SPECIAL COSTUMING FOR FLOUNDER. DURING MUSIC THEATRE WICHITA'S 40TH SEASON IN 2011, I BUILT HEADDRESSES FOR SUNSET BOULEVARD. THEY INCLUDED THE LARGE JEWEL TONE HEADDRESSES ON THE BALI DANCERS AS WELL AS A FEW OF NORMA DESMOND'S HEAD PIECES. I ALSO BUILT THE HAT FOR THE REPORTER AT THE END OF THE SHOW.
